Getting started with Equivest

Welcome. Five minutes from here you’ll have a portfolio set up, your first achievement unlocked, and a sense of what makes Equivest different from a broker portal.

1. Log your first trade

There are three ways:

• Smart Log — tap any stock and the gradient pill at the top of the detail screen logs it at market price using your last-used share count. One tap. Long-press to fine-tune.
• Quick Log — tap the lightning button on the Portfolio screen. A bottom sheet asks symbol → shares → price. Three taps.
• Bulk Import — paste your broker statement (CSV / TSV / pipe / whitespace) or upload the file. We parse up to 10,000 rows in one go.

2. Set up your profile

Profile tab → Edit. Pick a display name, handle, bio, avatar gradient. Each step you complete awards +5 points and tickets up your profile completeness ring.

3. Pick your visibility

Settings → Privacy → Profile visibility. Four options:

• Public — everything visible (default)
• Percent only — show return % without Rs amounts
• Followers only — only mutual follows see your portfolio
• Private — profile visible, portfolio hidden

You can change this anytime. Preview as a visitor before going live.

4. Find your tribe

Feed tab → Squads. Six pre-built communities to join:

• Long-Term Compounders — patient, dividend-focused
• Cement Maxis — infrastructure-bull
• Swing Kids — tactical short-timeframe trades
• Contrarian Plays — value, bottom-fishers
• Dividend Income — yield-first
• First-Timers — curious, learning out loud

Multi-join allowed.

5. Set a price alert

Open any stock → tap the bell icon → enter a target price + direction. When the price crosses it, you’ll see a NEAR or HIT badge on the stock card across the app. (Push notifications coming once we wire the backend.)
